Hi Todd,

I think your point stating that transit is safer than private automovile has 
been proved.

But the question could remain if the point is the comparision between modes 
is made relating terrorist atacks. Is
transit a more common goal for terrorist?  If so, the normal stadistics 
change? How much?. (I have not read Lucy´s report) One could think that the 
fact that most atacks seek transit vehicles and infraestructure  is because 
transit can gain press and media coverage, so in that sense is not only the 
way press treats news, but also the way terrorist choose transit for the 
atacks wich can contribute to the present risk misconception.
