Welcome to the asia-apec listserv!
This mailing list on APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) was initiated by Interdoc (a network of information and electronic network providers in Asia) and DAGA (Documentation for Action Groups in Asia). This year the listserv is moderated by the secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Peoples' Assembly (Kuala Lumpur) with host computer facilities kindly provided by JCA (Japan Computer Access).
Asia-apec provides an electronic forum for information about the Asia-Pacific People's Assembly and for APEC related postings, write-ups, information, and documentation. The objective of the listserv is to increase awareness about APEC and globalization and to strengthen networks of opposition in anticipation of the People's Assembly in Kuala Lumpur, November 1998.
