Japanese Firms to Boost Jet Engine Parts Production for Bombardier

Japanese Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., which manufactures
turbines, fans, shafts, and auxiliary equipment, and Kawasaki Heavy
Industries Ltd., which produces gearboxes, are increasing their
manufacturing of components for the jet engine of a small passenger plane
co-developed with GE Co. The Japanese firms will increase their output of
the parts over the next two years. The engines are used by Montreal based
Bombardier Inc.
