** Alliance Chair City has new Mayor
------------------------------------------------------------
The Alliance Chair city, Changwon, Rep. of Korea, recently went to polls and elected a new Mayor Mr. Ahn Sang-Soo. Mayor Ahn is a lawyer by profession and has worked in the judicial system for over 20 years.

The Mayor has already directed his EcoMobility staff to begin research on ways to improve the current bike-sharing scheme such that it can be made more attractive. The ICLEI - EcoMobility Alliance secretariat is supporting the city of Changwon in gathering experiences from various cities that have already implemented a bike sharing system.


** Bogota hosts the GFHS forum

Bogotá, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), UN HABITAT and the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS), are organizing the event:
“Implementing RIO+20 Decisions and Promoting Sustainable Cities, Transport and Tourism” in Bogotá DC, 2014.

** Nominations Open: Sustainable Transport Award 2014

ICLEI - EcoMobility, together with an international committee of development experts and organizations working on environmentally friendly transportation, invites you to nominate your city for the 10th Annual Sustainable Transport Award. Nominations are now open and will be accepted online at staward.org (http://ecomobility.us5.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=a3a47048051ae2f2024de7834&id=33213f335c&e=909a432f89) until September 12, 2014.

** Join the EcoMobility Alliance

The EcoMobility Alliance is a network of cities working on improving their urban mobility. The Alliance currently consists of 12 cities. Alliance cities receive technical support from Alliance partners in implementing their urban mobility projects.
