３月１日外国特派員協会　ひだんれん記者会見

来る３月１日（火）午前１１時から東京・有楽町の外国特派員協会にて、原発事故被害者団体連絡会
（ひだんれん http://hidanren.blogspot.jp/）
の共同代表をつとめる長谷川健一、武藤類子両氏による記者会見が行われます。
日比谷で開催される「福島原発事故から５年　被害者を切り捨てるな！全国集会」（３月２日）の前日に行われるこの記者会見では、
長谷川・武藤両氏が原発事故から５年目の被害の現状と被害者の要求と取り組みについて、国際的なメディアに対して語る予定です。
あわせてピースボートの川崎哲から、ブックレット「福島１０の教訓」（http://fukushimalessons.jp/index.html）
の紹介をする予定です。

"Hidanren": the Liaison Committee for Organizations of Victims of the
Nuclear Disaster

Five years after the March 11, 2011, triple disasters, more than 100,000
evacuees are still living away from their homes. While the central and
prefectural governments' focus appears to be on the recovery process and
the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, many victims affected by the nuclear disaster
have been left feeling neglected.

In 2015, 13 groups of plaintiffs involved in lawsuits over the Fukushima
nuclear disaster formed a network called "Hidanren," or the Liaison
Committee for Organizations of Victims of the Nuclear Disaster.

At their press conference, Hasegawa and Muto will share the goals of
"Hidanren", which include an apology and full victim compensation from
TEPCO, detailed medical checks and insurance, measures to reduce
radiation exposure among residents, and determining accountability for
the Fukushima accident. Kawasaki will give a brief background on
citizens' activities, placing the activities of Hasegawa and Muto in a
broader global context.

Hasegawa is a dairy farmer from Iitate Village, Fukushima Prefecture. He
is the head of the Maeda Ward of Iitate Village and director of the
Fukushima Dairy Cooperative Council.

Muto is a member of Fukushima Women Against Nukes, and received the
Women's Human Rights Activities Award (the Yayori Award) in 2013.

Kawasaki is an Executive Committee member of the Tokyo-based NGO Peace
Boat, and International Steering Group member of International Campaign
to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).
