These case-studies will demonstrate the existing and potential links between mobility and health, especially in rural areas.  As a first step in the process, the researchers will come together in regional workshops to finalise the methodology and framework. Once the case-studies are finished (after 6-12 months), an international symposium will be organised to present the issues flowing out of the case-studies and to develop outlines for a ‘toolkit’, book and an advocacy programme.  <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Strengthening of the core group <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Currently the core team, steering the programme, consists of IFRTD, SDC, STI and Skat. Recognising the need for regional health expertise we are looking for experts/consultants from <st1:place>Latin America</st1:place>, <st1:place>Africa</st1:place> and <st1:place>Asia</st1:place> (one per region) with a background in health, especially maternal health. Experts need to be affiliated to NGOs or multilateral institutions.
