Well, then.... it seems quite appropriate to shame these companies. 
Especially Toyota with all its Priuspromises and Vision Zero stuff 
(related to road deaths) oriented towards (at least) Western consumers.

At least the environmental organisations which have a symbiotic 
relationship with Toyota need to get a "another reason you are jerks" 
letter.
