(PD/Agencia EFE).- Irán fabricará "bicicletas islámicas" para las mujeres, pensadas para disimular sus formas mediante una cabina que cubriría la mitad del cuerpo. 

"Este proyecto permite fomentar el deporte femenino", señaló Elaheh Sofali, una de las responsables del proyecto, según informa el diario gubernamental del país.

Faezeh Hachémi, hija del ex presidente iraní Akbar Hachémi Rafsandjani, ex responsable del deporte olímpico femenino, intentó el desarrollo del ciclismo entre las mujeres en los años 90, pero está decisión no tuvo el éxito deseado por la oposición de los religiosos conservadores.

Como cada primavera, la campaña contra la "vestimenta indecorosa" se está ensañando con las mujeres, cuyos pañuelos coloridos y cada vez más escuetos desafían la imposición del uniforme islámico.

Sólo durante los cuatro primeros días de la campaña, 150.000 personas fueron interpeladas en todo el país, de las que 13 pasaron a disposición judicial, según informó el jefe de la policía, general Ismael Ahmadi-Moghaddam.

El resto se libraron firmando compromisos de buena conducta que en caso de reincidencia se aportarán ante el juez. Desde el arranque de la campaña, más de 3.000 mujeres (una media de 150 al día) han sido detenidas y han pasado al menos unas horas en comisaría
