The automobile is a very common terrorist target. Victims are often
kidnapped in their automobiles by terrorists. This usually occurs in public
parking lots, the terrorist being armed with a knife or pistol commandeers
the car and usually avoids and or eludes apprehension. Such carjacking is
common, and often un-reported or reported as a murder, rape, robbery, or
kidnapping. They are usually only called terrorist activity if the victim
is prominent, or there is an obvious political component.
