Greetings from Brazil.
Take a look at these sites.
May be you will find some texts in English on the Brazilian experience with
bus lanes.
The arguments used by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, which
you mentioned in your e-mail, is an absurd. Try to ask them how many
passengers or people can be moved by car instead of by bus in a lane.
