Changing attitudes and behaviour travel
A conference entitled "Wheels of change" will be held in London,
United Kingdom, from 9 to 11 November 1998. The aim of the event
will be to examine the use of transport information, publicity and
community education programmes to change attitudes and travel
behaviour and to reduce car use.
The discussions will draw on recent European Commission research
in order to carry out a thorough review of current thinking and
best practice. The conference will open with addresses from
representatives of the European Commission, DG VII, and the UK
Government.
